We are a welcoming and active group, always open to more enthusiastic researchers. If you are interested in joining us, find out about opportunities here.
Max Fitz-James
Group leader
Max is a Wellcome Career Development Fellow interested in how epigenetic phenomena shape the course of evolution. As well as overseeing the lab and its different projects, he personally carries out research into the inheritance of the histone modification H3K27me3 in Drosophila.
Caitlin contributes to projects across the lab, looking after the insects and performing wet lab experiments. She also works as part of the Animal Vibration Lab, caring for several species of spider
Marieke Wensveen
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Marieke investigates the process of epimutation - how heritable epigenetic information arises - using Drosophila as a model system.
Scott Yim
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Scott is interested in how epigenetic information contributes to phenotypic differences, with a particular focus on polyphenism in aphids.
